Art by Shina Reynolds

Artist Statement

Painting gives my mind the freedom it craves. Each time I paint, I uncover another layer of my subconscious. I find painting to be one of the most liberating acts of self-expression. There are no rules when it comes to a blank canvas. With a limitless amount of color combinations, textures, and applications, I can allow my mind to wander. Abstract painting is about choices, and then about letting go and allowing something imperfect, but genuine, to form in front of me.
